
Faculty Awards Committee
The Provost’s Office screens all nominees for eligibility. Nominations sent to the committees are eligible to receive an award.
Award committees make recommendations as to who should win each award. Decisions are ultimately made by the Provost and the senior officers.
The Faculty Awards Committee is responsible for recommending winners for the following awards:
- Alfred Noble Robinson Faculty Award
- Christian & Mary Lindback Award for Distinguished Teaching
- Educational Innovation Award
- Hillman Faculty Award
- Inclusive Excellence Faculty Award
- Lehigh Early Career Award for Distinguished Teaching
- Libsch Early Career Research Award
- Libsch Research Award
- Provost Award for Undergraduate Academic Advising
- Stabler Award for Excellence in Teaching
The chair and members of the Faculty Awards Committee are appointed by the Provost, with recommendations from the Deans, former award winners, current and previous committee members, etc.
Recipients of the following awards are recommended by these groups:
- Carl & Ingeborg Beidleman Research Award in Business and Economics: College of Business
- Global Engagement and Internationalization Award: Faculty Committee on Global Affairs
- Hillman Award for Excellence in Graduate Advising Award: Graduate Student leadership
- Hillman Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Advising Award: Undergraduate Student Senate leadership
- Perry A. Zirkel Award for Distinguished Teaching in Education: College of Education
