Staff Awards
Alfred Noble Robinson Exempt & Nonexempt Staff Award
Recognizes outstanding performance in service to the University and unusual promise of professional achievement. Each year one award will be given to the most deserving exempt or nonexempt staff member of those nominated. Previous winners of this award have shown extraordinary enthusiasm for Lehigh’s goals and priorities, often working beyond their direct area/unit on University-wide projects or committees.
Eligibility
Nominees must be employed full-time by Lehigh University in administration, research, or any combination of these and in at least the second year of such employment. Nominees must be less than 35 years of age on Founders Day. Only current staff members are eligible to receive nominations for this award (retired staff are not eligible). Faculty and staff are not eligible to win any given University Award in two consecutive years, in addition to eligibility restrictions that apply for certain awards.

Hillman Exempt Staff Award
Recognizes a member of the exempt staff for excellence in administrative and/or research work, or for advancing the interests of the University; sustained excellence in performance that has major impact on advancing the department/university goals; and exemplary initiative and service. Inclusive Excellence Exempt and Nonexempt Staff Award
Recognizes and honors an exempt or nonexempt staff member for outstanding contributions to research, administration, practice, advocacy and/or policy, and whose work informs and advances the understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusive excellence at Lehigh University.
Eligibility
The nominee is required to be a current full-time employee of Lehigh University (retired staff are not eligible and no one is eligible to receive this award more than once). Nominations will be screened by the Council for Equity and Community.

Lehigh University Exempt Staff Distinguished Service Award
Recognizes a member of the exempt staff who has contributed in significant ways to the Lehigh community over a number of years. Nominations for this award may come from any member of the faculty, exempt staff, or nonexempt staff.
Eligibility
Nominee must be employed at Lehigh for a minimum of five years. Only current staff members are eligible to receive nominations for this award (retired staff are not eligible). Faculty and staff are not eligible to win any given University Award in two consecutive years, in addition to eligibility restrictions that apply for certain awards

Louis & Helen Zirkel Library Staff Award
Established to recognize outstanding performance and service by a member of the exempt or nonexempt staff of the University Libraries.
Eligibility
Nominations for this award may come from any member of the faculty, exempt staff, nonexempt staff or other patrons of the Lehigh University Libraries. Only current library staff members are eligible to receive nominations for this award (retired staff are not eligible). Faculty and staff are not eligible to win any given University Award in two consecutive years, in addition to eligibility restrictions that apply for certain awards.

Perry & Carol Zirkel Nonexempt Staff Award
Established to recognize outstanding performance and contributions by a member of the nonexempt staff.
Eligibility:
No one is eligible to win this award more than once. Nonexempt staff are those individuals classified as secretarial, clerical, or technical employees (e.g. administrative secretaries, department coordinators). Exempt staff are not eligible (e.g. administrative associates, managers). Only current nonexempt staff members are eligible to receive nominations for this award (retired staff are not eligible). Nominations may come from any member of the faculty, exempt staff, or nonexempt staff. Staff are not eligible to win any given University Award in two consecutive years, in addition to eligibility restrictions that apply for certain awards.

Provost's Award for Undergraduate Academic Advising (Staff)
The Provost’s Award for Undergraduate Academic Advising recognizes one Lehigh exempt staff member for demonstrated excellence in and extraordinary contributions to undergraduate academic advising.
Criteria:
Nominees for the Provost’s Award for Undergraduate Academic Advising should show evidence of excellence in academic advising by meeting the following criteria:
-- Provide a welcoming, inclusive environment where advisees feel a sense of belonging.
-- Guide advisees in problem solving, evaluating academic options, registration and academic planning, and major selection.
-- Monitor and support advisees’ academic progress.
-- Connect advisees with campus resources.
-- Provide helpful and accurate information regarding academic policies, procedures, and requirements.
-- Assist advisees in identifying academic and professional goals.
-- Demonstrate a caring and nurturing attitude toward advisees.
-- Uphold NACADA’s core values: caring, commitment, empowerment, inclusivity, integrity, professionalism, and respect.
Eligibility:

$1,000 and a grant of $1,500 to support the advisor’s professional development
